Making Connections is at the heart of learning: figuring out what’s the same, what’s different and sorting these things into categories. Making unusual connections is at the heart of creativity? Join us to learn everyday ways to promote Making Connections and help prepare children for school, friends and life.
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of the session, participants will interpret that the Life Skill of Making Connections calls on Executive Functions in order to categorize.
2 . By the end of the session, participants will recognize that Making Connections is central to learning because the skill underlies symbolic representation.
3 . By the end of the session, participants will identify making unusual connections and how they relate to creativity.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
