These factors shape how children process and react to the experiences they have in the world. We will explore the importance of child observation in understanding behavior and effective techniques for helping children. \nTraining Objectives: \n1 . By the end of this session\, participants will recall the connection between the various areas of the brain and how these connections are expressed through behavior. \n2 . By the end of this session\, participants will summarize the key factors that influence behavior. \n3 . DESCRIPTION:This is an in-person  class at The Children’s Cabinet.\n\n\nThis is an in-person class \nTotal Hours: 10.0 \nActive Parenting for Stepfamilies is a program for both parents and stepparents. It demonstrates skills for raising children in the unique blended family environment\, along with powerful communication and negotiation skills to strengthen marriage and family. The program covers topics that are unique to stepfamilies: the stepparent’s role\, emotional baggage\, differences in values\, discipline\, power struggles\, and celebrating your blended family’s achievements. \nThis is a 5 sessions in person class\, for 5 consequtive Tuesdays on  5/28; 6/4; 6/11; 6/18 and 6/25  Each class is 2 hrs. Certificate for this class will be given at the completion of class #5 for classes attended. \nInstructor: Thelma Aviles
